Offering seats: what car owners should know

Your car is going to the Island anyway. Here’s what it takes to start offering seats, what you earn, and the few rules that keep it working.

If you drive the same corridor to work every day, the empty seats in your car are already making the trip. Offering them on Komyut lets riders share the cost — without turning you into a taxi driver.

What you need

  • A Komyut account with phone and identity verified.
  • A valid driver’s licence.
  • Vehicle registration papers and the car’s plate number.

Our trust & safety team reviews every offerer by hand before they can post trips. You’ll be notified in the app once you are approved.

How offering works

  1. Post your trip. Choose the corridor, departure time and how many seats you’re offering. The fare is already set.
  2. Pick up at fixed points. Verified riders meet you at the corridor’s pickup points. No detours, no private addresses.
  3. Drive and get paid. You keep 85% of every fare, paid to your bank account in regular payout runs.

You stay in control

Post trips only on days you are driving anyway. Choose how many seats to offer. If your plans change, cancel in the app and every paid rider is refunded automatically — but cancel as early as you can, because riders are counting on you.

Habits of great offerers

  • Post your trip the evening before so riders can plan.
  • Leave on time — riders have desks to get to too.
  • Keep the car clean, and the AC on when you can.
  • Only take riders booked through the app, and never ask for cash.
  • Follow traffic laws. No phone use while driving.
